Merhaba,
It has been one year since 2009's Istanbulive concert at SummerStage, one of the top-attended Central Park shows of the year. Called "the Turkish Woodstock," the one-day festival served a fine sampling of the modern sounds of Turkey, drawing nearly 7,000 fans from all walks of life to New York's famed festival.
This year, Istanbul is being officially hailed as the European Capital of Culture. Coinciding with this prestigious honor, on Saturday, July 3, from 2pm to 7pm, Istanbulive II arrives at New York's Central Park SummerStage. For five hours, several of Turkey's most exciting and daring contemporary artists, whose music encompasses myriad East-meets- West sounds from Turkish rock to jazz, dance, pop and folk, will take the stage live.
