It has been seven years since the unprecedented Istanbulive showcase series was launched at Central Park SummerStage presenting the best of Turkish music this side of the Bosporus. After traveling to prestigious festivals like Lincoln Center Out of Doors and SXSW after its launch, Istanbulive returns to NY for its seventh installment. Over 25,000 fans have attended the six editions so far, and Istanbulive VII will bring its rich tapestry of traditions and talent to Symphony Sopace in Manhattan.
Istanbulive co-producer Serdar Ilhan comments, “For this year’s showcase we are honored to present the long awaited debut of Taksim Trio, who are taking Europe by storm. ” Istanbulive VII will hit the road traveling to Toronto and Boston.
